Tooth Extraction

Tooth extraction is the surgical removal of a tooth from its socket (socket) in the bone, performed under local anesthesia. This procedure is usually performed when there are problems in the healing process of the tooth, such as blockage, infection or severe decay.

Tooth extraction is usually performed as an outpatient treatment and the patient does not feel any pain during the procedure.

Treatment options may include replacing the extracted tooth with a denture or dental implant.

Attention!

After tooth extraction, you may feel pain when the anesthesia wears off. You should use the painkillers recommended by your doctor regularly and avoid eating hard foods, hot or cold drinks at the procedure site. Also, if bleeding persists, it may be helpful to apply cold compresses for a while. You can speed up the healing process by following the care instructions given after the procedure.

Root Extraction

Root extraction is a procedure that is performed when root remnants remain after the entire tooth has been removed or when these remnants cause infection.

The removal of the remaining roots of the tooth is usually an oral surgical procedure, performed to eliminate the risk of infection and speed healing. Root extraction allows the alveolar space around the tooth to be cleaned and infected tissues removed.

This procedure must be performed carefully by the dentist and requires a careful healing process to avoid the risk of infection after treatment.

Attention!

After root extraction, swelling and pain at the procedure site is normal. To reduce swelling and pain, you can use cold compresses and take painkillers recommended by your doctor. Also, avoid putting pressure on the procedure site while eating and opt for liquid foods. Avoid smoking during the healing process, as this can negatively affect healing.

Impacted wisdom tooth extraction

Extraction of impacted wisdom teeth may be necessary in individuals with improper jaw structure, if wisdom teeth cannot find enough space or cannot erupt properly. The impacted tooth may remain in the jawbone or under the gum and may not erupt properly, causing pain and infections.

This extraction procedure is not as scary as it is often thought to be. Depending on how much of the tooth is impacted and its position, the treatment process may vary. The removal of the impacted tooth is performed with a surgical intervention according to the position of the tooth.

The healing process after this procedure requires careful care and follow-up.

Attention!

After an impacted tooth extraction, swelling, pain and bruising may occur at the procedure site. These symptoms are normal and will subside within a few days. You can reduce the swelling by using cold compresses and take painkillers as recommended by your doctor. You should also eat soft foods and avoid hot or hard foods, paying attention to the procedure site. During the healing process, pay attention to oral hygiene and take the medication recommended by your doctor regularly.
